Dear Mr. O’Donnell:
Research for the following report was done by Suzanne Johnston, volunteer researcher.
Hauck Family
Sts. Peter &
Paul (East End) Marriage Records
15 Aug 1874
Frederjcum
Hauck, age 27, born Rheinbaiern, son of
Ludovici and Mariae
Hauck married to Mariam Jacob, age 19, born Greensburg,
daughter of Joannis and Margaretha
Jacob. Witnesses: Josephus Scheib, Fred. Lenardz
We did a page by page reading of
the baptisms, but found no record for John A. Hauck’s baptism at Sts. Peter
& Paul. We also checked the records of St. Augustine, Lawrenceville; St.
Joseph, Bloomfield and St. Philomena without success.
If you are able to locate the Jacob family in another section of Pittsburgh or
in the Greensburg area, the first child may have been baptized in the mother’s
church. It is also possible that his baptism was just not entered into the
records.
